The Position
We are actively seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support federal construction projects nationwide.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a construction quality professional seeking exposure to large-scale federal projects, direct interaction with government stakeholders, and long-term growth within a highly respected federal contractor. The QCM will be responsible for administering and executing the project quality control program while ensuring compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and federal regulations.
For candidates located outside of project markets, comprehensive travel packages and project-based accommodations are provided.
Work Schedule: Full-Time | Travel-Based Assignment
What You'll Do
- Lead project quality control efforts from project startup through closeout.
- Manage the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Program in accordance with federal contract requirements.
- Coordinate inspections, testing activities, and quality documentation.
- Maintain daily quality reports, deficiency logs, submittals, and quality records.
- Interface with Owners, USACE, NAVFAC, VA, and other government representatives.
- Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
- Monitor project compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Lead quality meetings and coordinate corrective actions when required.
- Manage testing agencies, inspectors, and quality consultants.
- Track punch list items and support project turnover activities.
- Partner closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams.
- Ensure successful project delivery while minimizing rework and quality deficiencies.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of Quality Control experience on federal construction projects.
- Experience managing CQC programs for USACE, NAVFAC, VA, DoD, or other federal agencies.
- Thorough understanding of federal quality control requirements and documentation.
- Experience conducting Three-Phase Control inspections.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel and support nationwide project assignments.
Preferred
- Current USACE/NAVFAC CQM Certification.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience on projects valued at $20M+.
- Experience with healthcare, military, mission-critical, or secure facilities.
