Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000+ DOE + Bonuses + Travel Package + Per Diem

The Position:

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Quality Control Manager (QCM) to lead quality control programs on large-scale federal construction projects nationwide.


This is a high-impact role for a senior construction quality professional with strong federal project experience, deep knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC/DoD standards, and direct exposure to complex projects valued at $25M+. The QCM will serve as a key on-site leader responsible for ensuring all work is completed in accordance with contract documents, federal quality standards, project specifications, and owner expectations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and administer the project Quality Control Program from startup through closeout.
  • Serve as the on-site quality leader for federal construction projects.
  • Manage daily quality reporting, documentation, inspections, testing, and compliance tracking.
  • Conduct and document Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections as part of the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control process.
  • Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and quality documentation for compliance.
  • Coordinate inspections with testing agencies, subcontractors, field teams, government representatives, and project leadership.
  • Maintain deficiency logs, punch lists, Non-Conformance Reports, corrective actions, and closeout documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with federal quality standards, contract requirements, project specifications, and client expectations.
  • Interface directly with USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, VA, federal clients, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Support project planning, field coordination, sequencing, constructability reviews, and quality risk prevention.
  • Prepare daily reports and maintain accurate records of progress, inspections, testing, and project conditions.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related updates, recommendations, solutions, and leadership.
  • Help maintain a jobsite culture centered on safety, accountability, communication, teamwork, and high-quality federal project delivery.


Job Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction quality control and/or field construction experience.
  • Must have strong experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, VA, military, or federal construction projects.
  • Must have direct experience supporting large-scale construction projects valued at $25M+.
  • Proven ability to manage project-level QA/QC programs on active federal jobsites.
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting procedures, documentation standards, and government project requirements.
  • Working knowledge of USACE Three-Phase Quality Control procedures.
  • CQM-C Certification required.
  • OSHA 30 required.
  • First Aid/CPR preferred or required depending on project assignment.
  • EM 385-1-1 experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, testing, inspections, and quality standards.
  • Ability to interface professionally with government representatives, owners, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and executive leadership.
  • Strong communication, leadership, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel nationally for project assignments, including remote or secure federal facilities.
  • Experience with RMS, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and federal project documentation systems is highly preferred.
