The Position: We are seeking a Senior Designer / Architectural Designer to join our Oakland studio and contribute to the design of multi-family and mixed-use housing projects. This role focuses on shaping design concepts, developing project visuals, and supporting design development efforts in collaboration with project managers and technical teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong design sensibility, experience in multi-family residential architecture, and the ability to translate project concepts into clear visual and technical documentation.

What You’ll Do
- Contribute to the conceptual and schematic design of multi-family residential projects.
- Develop architectural design studies, diagrams, and visual presentations.
- Support the transition of projects from concept design into design development phases.
- Prepare presentation materials including renderings, diagrams, and design packages for client and internal review.
- Collaborate with project teams to maintain design intent throughout project phases.
- Assist in integrating design concepts into coordinated architectural documentation.
- Participate in design charrettes, studio discussions, and client presentations.
- Support design coordination with project managers, architects, and consultant teams.
What You Need (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related design discipline.
- 4+ years of professional architecture or design experience.
- Strong background in multi-family residential or mixed-use housing design.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to conceptual design and presentation development.
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling/visualization tools.
- Strong graphic communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of building systems and the architectural project delivery process.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- California architectural licensure path or pursuit of licensure preferred.
