The Position: We are seeking an experienced Construction Administrator (Project Architect / Project Manager level) to support complex healthcare projects, with a strong focus on HCAI/OSHPD environments. This role plays a critical role in ensuring projects are executed with precision during the construction phase by serving as a key liaison among design teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead construction administration efforts from bidding through project closeout on healthcare projects
  • Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders
  • Conduct field observations and document construction progress, quality, and compliance
  • Monitor construction to ensure alignment with contract documents, codes, and design intent
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies (including HCAI/OSHPD)
  • Prepare field reports, meeting minutes, and construction documentation
  • Review pay applications, cost estimates, and assist with value engineering efforts
  • Track construction issues through resolution and communicate updates to stakeholders
  • Support project closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, and final documentation
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal CA process improvements


What You Need (Qualifications)

  • 7+ years of experience in architecture or construction, with a strong Construction Administration (CA) focus
  • Extensive healthcare project experience required (HCAI/OSHPD)
  • Proven expertise in full construction administration processes and documentation
  • Strong understanding of building codes, life safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, and governing agencies
  • Ability to manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction documentation independently
  • Licensed Architect (CA or NCARB) preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
