Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000+ DOE + Bonuses + Travel Package + Per Diem

The Position:
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Quality Control Manager (QCM) to lead project-level quality control programs on large-scale federal construction projects nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior construction quality professional who brings deep federal project experience, strong technical documentation skills, and proven success managing QA/QC programs on complex projects valued at $50M+. You’ll take ownership of quality from project startup through closeout while working closely with project leadership, subcontractors, owners, USACE, NAVFAC, DoD personnel, and federal representatives.

- Virginia / DC Metro Region
- Texas, including DFW and San Antonio
- Florida
- North Carolina and South Carolina
- Colorado and Mountain West Region
- Select Pacific / OCONUS Opportunities
Travel Rotation
- Approximately 3 weeks on-site
- 1 weekend home rotation, typical cadence
- Company-supported travel arrangements
- No relocation required
What You’ll Do
- Lead and administer the project Quality Control Program from startup through closeout.
- Manage daily quality reporting, documentation, inspections, and compliance tracking.
- Conduct and document Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections as part of the Three-Phase Control process.
- Coordinate inspections, testing agencies, subcontractors, field teams, and project leadership.
- Maintain deficiency logs, punch lists, Non-Conformance Reports, and corrective action documentation.
- Review submittals, RFIs, plans, specifications, and quality-related project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, federal standards, project specifications, and owner requirements.
- Collaborate directly with government representatives, USACE, NAVFAC, DoD personnel, owners, and internal project teams.
- Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related updates, recommendations, and leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain a proactive approach to quality, safety, and project execution.
Job Qualifications
- 15+ years of construction quality control and/or field construction experience.
- Must have direct experience supporting large-scale construction projects valued at $50M+.
- Strong background supporting federal, military, DoD, or government construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage project-level QA/QC programs on active jobsites.
- Working knowledge of USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, and federal construction standards.
- CQM-C Certification required, or ability to obtain immediately.
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, drawings, specifications, documentation, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel nationally for project assignments.
- Experience with RMS, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is highly preferred.
