The Position: We are seeking an experienced Tax Principal / SR. Tax Manager to join our growing Partnerships & Pass-Through practice in Lehi, Utah. This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a tax professional with extensive experience advising partnerships, LLCs, S-Corporations, and multi-entity organizations. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to sophisticated business clients while leading complex engagements, mentoring teams, and partnering with firm leadership on strategic initiatives and client growth. What You'll Do
- Lead complex partnership, LLC, S-Corporation, and pass-through tax engagements.
- Provide proactive tax planning, structuring, and consulting services for closely held businesses.
- Review complex federal and multi-state tax returns.
- Advise clients on entity structuring, ownership transitions, acquisitions, reorganizations, and tax-efficient strategies.
- Serve as the primary client relationship manager for key business clients.
- Research and resolve complex tax issues impacting pass-through entities.
- Mentor and develop Tax Managers, Seniors, and Staff.
- Manage multiple engagements while maintaining exceptional client service and technical quality.
- Collaborate with Partners on business development and practice growth initiatives.
- Stay current on changing tax legislation affecting partnerships and private businesses.
Qualifications
Required
- CPA license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 8+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Extensive experience with Partnerships, LLCs, S-Corporations, and Pass-Through entities.
- Strong technical tax planning and compliance expertise.
- Experience reviewing complex business tax returns.
- Proven leadership and client management experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred
- Master's in Taxation (MST).
- Experience serving middle-market and privately held businesses.
- Business development experience.
- Experience mentoring and leading tax teams.
