The Position: We are seeking an experienced Tax Principal / Senior Tax Manager – Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) to join our expanding Private Client Services practice in Fort Worth, TX.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity focused on advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, executives, entrepreneurs, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses on sophisticated tax planning and compliance matters. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to an elite client portfolio while partnering closely with firm leadership to deliver proactive tax strategies, strengthen client relationships, and help drive continued growth of the practice.
This role offers significant leadership visibility, exceptional client exposure, and a clear path toward continued advancement within a nationally respected advisory platform.
What You'll Do
- Lead complex tax compliance and consulting engagements for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trusts, estates, partnerships, and closely held businesses.
- Develop and implement sophisticated tax planning strategies focused on wealth preservation, estate planning, succession planning, and tax efficiency.
- Review complex individual, fiduciary, partnership, LLC, and corporate tax returns.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for key private clients and family groups.
- Provide technical guidance on federal, state, and multi-state tax matters impacting high-net-worth individuals and investment entities.
- Collaborate with attorneys, wealth advisors, financial planners, and other outside professionals to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
- Identify opportunities to expand advisory services and strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Mentor and develop Tax Managers, Seniors, and Staff through coaching and technical leadership.
- Review engagement quality, budgets, and project timelines while maintaining exceptional client service standards.
- Partner with firm leadership on business development initiatives and strategic growth opportunities.
- Stay current on evolving tax legislation affecting private clients, trusts, estates, and investment structures.
Qualifications
Required
- CPA license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Extensive experience serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trusts, estates, and privately held businesses.
- Strong technical expertise in individual, fiduciary, estate, gift, partnership, and closely held business taxation.
- Experience reviewing complex tax returns and leading sophisticated client engagements.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and mentoring tax professionals.
- Outstanding communication, relationship management, and client advisory skills.
Preferred
- Master's in Taxation (MST) or related advanced degree.
- Experience advising multi-generational families and complex investment structures.
- Business development and practice growth experience.
- Experience working within a large regional or national public accounting firm.
