The Position: We are seeking a Tax Manager / Senior Tax Supervisor to join our growing Tampa tax practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced public accounting professional looking to expand their leadership responsibilities while serving a diverse client portfolio. You'll work closely with Partners, Managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver proactive tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to privately held businesses, pass-through entities, high-net-worth individuals, and middle-market organizations. This role offers excellent visibility, mentorship opportunities, and a clear path toward continued leadership advancement.


What You'll Do:

  • Manage and review complex federal, state, and multi-state tax returns for partnerships, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, LLCs, trusts, and individuals.
  • Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services for privately held businesses and their owners.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, building long-term trusted relationships.
  • Review work prepared by Tax Seniors and Staff while providing coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance.
  • Research complex tax matters and develop practical planning solutions for clients.
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Collaborate with Partners on client planning strategies and advisory projects.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and introduce additional advisory services.
  • Stay current on changes in federal, state, and local tax legislation.
  • Support recruiting, staff development, and training initiatives within the tax practice.
  • Participate in business development and networking activities to help support continued practice growth.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • 5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
  • Experience reviewing tax returns for partnerships, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, LLCs, and individuals.
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state taxation.
  • Experience managing client engagements and mentoring junior professionals.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Master's in Taxation (MST) or related advanced degree.
  • Experience serving closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Business development or client relationship management experience.
  • Experience with tax research and workflow management software.
  • Interest in continued leadership growth toward Senior Manager or Principal.
